In the wake of Superstorm Sandy, in 2013 while I was in high-school, I assisted in the complex structural elevation of a 1970s beachfront home to comply with new FEMA-mandated flood regulations. As the firm’s first primary Revit user, I developed a high quality BIM model from construction underlays, modeling everything from architectural elements to interior cabinetry. The renderings I produced became the central communication tool for design meetings, enabling seamless coordination between the our architectural engineering team, interior designers, builder, and owner.
