About Me
I have always been a maker. Growing up in Ocean City, New Jersey, raised by two creative jazz musicians, my childhood was defined by imagination and hands-on projects—from complex LEGO sets to elaborate backyard tree forts
Today, that innate drive to design and construct has evolved into a career as a structural engineer, where I blend technical precision with creative problem-solving.
The Early Start
My professional foundation was poured early. In 2013, I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout by leading a 40-volunteer team to build a discus and shot put throwing facility for my local Middle School. That same year, in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, I was taken under the wing of a local architect, Jim Chadwick, a former Eagle Scout himself. As a junior in high school, I was using Revit to model beachfront properties, helping my hometown rebuild and adapt to new FEMA flood elevations.
In 2014 I was admitted to the University of Vermont, where I earned my B.S. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Green Building. Vermont’s beautiful landscape also fed my love for the outdoors; my weekends were spent backpacking the Green Mountains and skiing with friends.
Structural Engineering
After graduating in 2018, I joined Engineering Ventures in Burlington, VT, where I worked in a hybrid role that bridged the gap between structural engineering and advanced BIM modeling. In 2020, life took an exciting turn when my partner (now Wife), Ellen, accepted a PhD program in Austin, Texas. After a brief, three-month hiatus spent windsurfing and camping along the Outer Banks, I followed her down south.
Now a Project Engineer at Structures PE, LLP in Austin, I independently manage, draft, coordinate, and engineer projects from initial concept to final construction documents. I love to work on exposed structures with a high attention to detail, and love to push the limits on what’s possible. When most structural engineers would say no to an Architect, I love to say “we’ll figure out how to make it happen.”

The Creative Side Hustle
In 2023, I launched Glue & Lagom, a CNC woodworking side hustle. Specializing in curved, mid-century modern record cabinets, the business allows me to merge my engineering background with a lifelong appreciation for music and creativity. You can find my pieces in homes and local record shops around Austin.
